Hello,
I want to compile Pascal programs using GNU-pascal.
I FTPed the zip files from the agnes.dida.physik.uni-essen.de/gnu-pascal
I recommend to download the following:
ftp://agnes.dida.physik.uni-essen.de/pub/home/chief/gpc-19991111-i586-cy gwin32.zip
(thanks The Chief) and decompress it into c:\usr\local. Get and install also full.exe from one of the Cygnus mirror sites:
http://sourceware.cygnus.com/cygwin/mirrors.html
This mixture worked for me on NT 4.0 as flawlesly as GPC 19991030 on Solaris.
You might want to try this instead (unzip to "c:\usr"):
ftp://agnes.dida.physik.uni-essen.de/home/chief/gpc-20000401-i386- mingw32msvc.zip
This is more up-to-date, much faster (and much more stable) than the Cygwin version referred to above. It also contains pre-compiled units to access WinAPI routines. The WinAPI stuff is still work-in-progress (as is a Delphi-compatible "sysutils" unit). If anyone wishes to help me with them, please drop me a line.
