IIRC such a bug has already been reported to the gpc mailing list. Has it been corrected in more recent snapshots ? This was from gpc-19991030 (the most recent alpha on agnes, but developper versions are more recent)
This error is fixed in the development version.
I am currently finishing up a CVS release for GPC. Please wait a few[*] minutes ...
