Hi, Uwe! Hi, GPC list!

The GPC-manual is most uncomplete. Especialy the refence.
Right.
I just finished integrating large parts of the command reference and of the programmers' manual written by Dominik Freche into the GPC distribution. So you can download now a much more complete version of the GPC documentation. Anyway, there is still a lot of work to do.
I will help to make the reference complete.
Fein. :-)
I think that we now have a very good starting point.
I must teach my students 'how to programming in Pascal'. And i almost make my own scripts. I can make my docs like a format, that they fit in the GPC-manual.
That would be GNU Texinfo. For printing, you can compile it with TeX using the `texi2dvi' utility.
Is there a tool to convert LaTeX to TeXInfo?
Not to my knowledge. But if you are using a limited set of commands in LaTeX you can easily write a small program to do that specific conversion.
In my docs (my scipts) i have a basicly layout. When it is possilbe to use this layout for the GPC-reference i'm verry happy, and i will help to make it complete. ('Uff' was this really my words?)
;-)
There is a haeder and a footer. I have made an example in LaTeX. You can take a look: http://www.bauermann.de/GPC/manual/reference/ (Several formats: LaTeX, dvi, ps and/or jpg) This basicly form looks good in my eyes. Please, think about it and tell me your ideas.
Your format is quite close to that in the GPC reference. I think that automatic conversion is possible.
PS.:BTW: Sorry my LaTeX-Code. I'm a beginner. Please send me suggestions, corrections, optimum, ... Thanx
One hint, concerning LaTeX as well as Texinfo: Instead of specifying optics (\vspace{...}\textbf{...}\noindent}, better specify your ideas {\subsection{...}} and let the formatter choose the font etc. for you. (If you want to change that font, write a style file.)
Okay, so now there are several documentation-related projects on this list. I think it's time to use the (already existing) GPC documentation list gpc-doc@gnu.de when going on.
Let's go ... :-)
