Hello
Sorry, for the delay.. I was in holiday. At the 15. of july, I wrote several Emails to the gpc mailing list, because I got same "make" error outputs, when I tried to compile gpc and gcc on my FreeBSD 5.1 OS. Frank Heckenback told me, to change a simple command in the ../gcc.3.2.1/gcc/intl/plural.y file. I changed it. But now , I get an other error msg from make (after running a long time). The last output is :
gcc: No input files specified ***Error code 1
Stop in /usr/home/karim/gpc-build/gcc.
etc.
The msg is very short and I don`t know how to handle that or to fix it.
Need some feedback
Greetings

Run make again (without `-s' if you used that). This should give some more output. If the built files are still there, it shouldn't take long.
BTW, is `make' GNU make? Otherwise, try that instead (perhaps `gmake'). You might have to start from scratch then.

Hi all
I tried the installation once again with the old (stable) releases from gpc and gcc.
With gcc-2.95.2 and gpc-2.1 I get this 'make' error:
/usr/home/karim/gcc-2.95.2/libiberty/strerror.c:465: conflicting types for 'sys_nerr' /usr/include/stdio.h:350: previous declaration of 'sys_nerr' ***Error code 1
With gcc-3.2.1 and gpc-2007...(beta versions), I got this make error (after changing the plural.y file):
gcc: No input files specified *** Error code 1
It seems that I get two diffrent 'make' errors with two diffrent gpc and gcc versions. What do you think about that ? For me, the nearest possible solution is, that I forgot something to install from the required program`s ... but I`m sure that it`s o.k
Can anybody help me ?
