According to Sven Hilscher:

Please check, if it is an error! [...] Test := TestNum(sqr(ReturnNum)); { the GPC compiler meant: "argument to `sqr' must be of integer, real or complex type" }

It is an error, and the same problem holds for `abs', `round', and other functions. Thanks for the report.
