I tried once with efence, and it found some problems already while compiling the RTS. These must not necessarily have been errors, but I didn't pursue them further.

Hmmmm. while compiling heap.pas:
ElectricFence Aborting: Allocating 0 bytes, probably a bug. xgpc: Internal compiler error: program gpc1 got fatal signal 4
This is at least bad coding. I'm planning not only to compile the RTS with efence, but also the whole testsuite :-)
