Hello,
I'm using GPC for DJGPP at the moment, which works perfect. Now I wanted to try the cygwin port of GPC. I've installed the cygwin b20 and then the version from "the Chief".
I can compile C programms, but every time I compile .PAS programms I got the message, that gpc-cpp can't be executed. I think, it's because the cygwin b20 is still an egcs version and the gpc version is 2.95.1
Is it possible to mix 2 versions, if not can someone give me a hint how to compile the cvs snapshots of cygwin?
Thanks in advance Matze

The Cygwin version of gpc on agnes '/home/chief/' is based on gcc 2.95.2 (it is the Mingw version that is based on gcc 2.95.1). At present, the Mingw version is more stable and reliable than the Cygwin version. To use either with gcc, I would advise that you get the latest gcc versions for Win32 (i.e., gcc 2.95.2 - either Cygwin or Mingw32). You can get these from Mumit Khan's gnu-win32 pages (click on the GNU-Win32 link on my web page for links to these). To make gcc and gpc work happily together without using any environment variables, they both have to be based on exactly the same version of gcc and they both have to be installed into the same place. Otherwise, you might need to set things like; GCC_EXEC_PREFIX GPC_EXEC_PREFIX C_INCLUDE_PATH LIBRARY_PATH
