I am looking at using the front end of the GPC as a starting point for a Pascal to C++ converter. I am aware that there are pascal to C converters in existance, but the code they produce is in general code that only a C compiler can understand.

There's quite a good Pascal to C converter, called p2c, at http://www.synaptics.com/people/daveg/

This does quite a good job of producing readable C, and has a switch to make it C++ compatible.
