It's right there. I've set LIBRARY_PATH and LD_LIBRARY_PATH both to point there.
Any suggestions for other environment variables I should set, maybe...?
Perhaps you should download the latest release of the Mingw runtime from here: http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/mingw/?sort_by=date&sort=desc
The actual file that you want is this: http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/mingw/mingw-runtime-3.7.tar.gz

Then it appears that you have a broken compiler. What is the output of "gcc -print-search-dirs"? (I am not even sure that this should make a difference, since you have set LIBRARY_PATH).
