I sure wish Mozilla SeaMonkey has provisions for verbose debug logs; or if it has, I found out and activated it sooner. But my Junk folder is empty. And I didn't tell SeaMonkey to automatically delete spam.

Some people specifically don't want that. You have to configure your account to do so (I forget how, but mine is).
