I am trying out the 2.1-beta version of gpc, in order to take advantage of its ability to handle the Turbo Pascal 'Assign' function. However, on compiling (a numerical model) on a unix solaris operating system, I get the following message:
gpi-hash.c:406: failed assertion `rni == num_items' gpc: Internal compiler error: program gpc1 got fatal signal 6 *** Error code 1 make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `medrush'
The programme compiles OK with the last (2.0, I think) release of gpc (but crashes - though that's a whole new problem!).
Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks, Colin
