GPC is falling out of the mainstream, due to the failure to integrate it with gcc. It seems to me this should take priority.

I have no experience with the task, but I am grieved about this news on GPC.

The topic was discussed many times, google for GCC GPC integration, or search the mailing list archive. If you want to do some real work I would be happy to provide you with technical information, but (sorry) for idle talk I am too busy.
