Turbo Pascal 'Append' Procedure

I hope this is the right place to come for this sort of advice - if not, please point me in a better direction . . . . . I am trying to convert my Turbo Pascal code to allow compilation using GNU Pascal. I have hit a problem with the 'Append' procedure, which does not seem to be supported in gpc. How should I go about adding lines to the end of existing text files? linux 2.2 NFS bug

gpc segmentation fault

Hi - A couple of days ago I called to report random segmentation faults when running simple gpc compiled programs under linux 2.2.0-pre4. I'm just writing back to report that we discovered what the bug is, and it has nothing to do with gpc. Apparently linux 2.2 is suffering from a rather serious NFS bug which causes a byte to be lost during file transfer. Hi all I obtain abort! when compiling this short program program essai; var c:complex; begin c:=cmplx(1,5); c:=c/2.0; end. dividing a complex by a real does not work, with * it works, even with /cmplx(2.0,0.0); What is broken ? Hi I've downloaded the beta binary "gpc-19990118.mips-sgi-irix6.2.tar.gz" for our SGI power challenge, but there is still a problem. GNU is already installed, and when compiling a little test program, GPC answers: ld32: FATAL 9: I/O error (-lgpc): No such file or directory There are no environmental variables defined, as GPC seems not to use GPC_EXEC_PREFIX. Only when adding the dir with -B, GPC finds e.g. CRTBEGIN.O. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance Oliver

Hi, after your announce i've the follow. feature request: Linking OOP-ObjectPascal-Progs to (shared) C++-Libs ! Of course you can't use templates and exceptions and so on, but it would be really useful. Regards, Stephan
