I have GPC installed on my Linux box again! Yay! And GCC 6 still works!
Is there a reason why the Texinfo doc is not included in the OpenSUSE/Tumbleweed package?

Excellent. I'll give the OpenSUSE RPM a shot when I get to my office. The SRPM will be most helpful going forward.

I agree with Ken that it is not no straightforward way to get a running gpc on a standard Linux.
Hi Bernhard,
Packages for rpm systems are available here. https://software.opensuse.org/package/gpc
For Ubuntu, Debian, Mint etc packages can be downloaded from my ppa https://launchpad.net/~ueter/+archive/ubuntu/gpc-3.4
Both sites include source if you want to build your own. Worked for me in 2014/2015 using gcc 4.8 on Debian Stretch.
Also, some useful building tips here http://alignment.hep.brandeis.edu/Software/Pascal/Pascal.html (which is what I used to get started on my ppa packages)
