Yup. Since it does happen on i386, I guess it's somehow related to ProPolice. Maybe there is actually a buffer overflow in somewhere?
Well, you can see what gdb tells you. And on the Mac you can look in ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/a.out.crash.log.
