According to Thamm, Russell:
Sorry to be difficult but neither crtf.o nor DJGPP.ENV is in the binaries that I downloaded. I can't find any sign of it in the latest sources archive.
They are in the distribution of gcc-2.8.1 and the other required parts of DJGPP. See section 4.5 of the the DJGPP FAQ list, ftp://ftp.tas.gov.au/pub/simtelnet/gnu/djgpp/v2/faq210b.zip .
