Hello, everybody!
At http://home.pages.de/~fjf/gpc-todo_toc.html, we have a TODO list for GPC listing known bugs, planned features, etc.
This list contains a section `2.1.1' with plans what has to be done before the release of gpc-2.1.1 (i.e. one version in advance, since the next version will be gpc-2.1).
Our question: Which of those features [bugs] should be implemented [fixed] already in gpc-2.1 realistically?
Some thoughts:
* We are late with gpc-2.1. Current beta and alpha versions are already much more stable than gpc-2.0 which is still the official version.
* OTOH, the release of gpc-2.1 will be a big step towards full compliance to Extended Pascal ("towards" means that it cannot be really reached with this release) and towards high compatibility to Borland Pascal. Waiting with the release until some important "holes" (which???) are fixed might be good for GPC's reputation.
Please post your comments to this list.
"Me too"s are welcome as well; you can send them directly to my address.
Greetings,
Peter
