Tom, I have the same problem with the binary executable as you! We
discussed this problem briefly on the mail group but could only come up with
the possibility that I am using an old version of libc.so (I am using
libc.so.5.3.12 but Jan-Jaap reccomended 5.4.20 or newer.
Just FYI, I have not solved it yet (work is incredibly busy). I am using
RedHat 4.1 installation with nothing special added. Someone suggested that
4.2 works fine. Let us know your progress. As soon as I hire an assistant,
fire a contractor, and finalize my 1998 department budget I will start
working on it again!
